Had such a great experience here! The staff were incredible—friendly, attentive, and really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and just downright delicious. You could tell they put care into every plate. It’s one of those spots where both the service and the food make the night feel special. From start to finish, everything was smooth, welcoming, and super tasty. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to, whether for a casual night out or a fun dinner with friends. If you’re looking for a spot that nails both amazing food and excellent service, this is it. You won’t leave disappointed, and you’ll probably be thinking about your next visit as soon as you walk out the door!

Overall, this place gets a 5 if not for a miss on a main dish. We ordered a few different things, the arugula salad, the purple potatoes, the gnocchi and a wood fired, Carolina chicken breast. All were pretty great. The gnocchi seemed bland and the chicken added had more of a leftover taste to it. Get the golden beets. Tarron was excellent and knew the menu well. The atmosphere is of high culinary class and detail. I would recommend.

I spent the weekend in Uptown for my birthday and strategically reviewed multiple restaurant menus before settling on Rooster's. The food, atmosphere, and service were superb. Carlee, was wonderful and attentive without being over the top. She knew the menu from top to bottom and we were so grateful for her. After receiving the check, she also explained their involvement in "Noble Food & Pursuits" that fights hunger and food insecurity. They're the complete package and made my birthday dinner so memorable.

We are staying the night in Charlotte and we’re looking for a place close to out hotel with good soup. My wife and I ordered thr tomato soup and it was fantastic. Honestly it was probably the best tomato soup I’ve ever had. My wife agrees. I also had the NC trout and split collared greens with my wife. Both were very good. We split a scoop of gelato for dessert. The restaurant is cozy, we walked in downstairs through the bar but decided to be seated upstairs. We will definitely be back the next time we come to visit Charlotte.

Rooster absolutely nailed it tonight. The chicken was the star. Perfectly roasted, crisp skin with just the right amount of char and seasoning. You cut into it and it’s still juicy, sitting in that simple pan jus that soaks into every bite. Rich without being heavy. Exactly how roast chicken should be done. Sides held their own too. The sweet corn was buttery and bright. The beets had that clean, earthy bite with a nice balance of acid and seasoning. Even the salad felt intentional, fresh greens, sharp pickled onions, good contrast to the warmth of the plate. Nothing overcomplicated. Just really solid ingredients cooked with confidence and care. This is the kind of meal you finish and immediately start thinking about when you’re coming back. Easily one of the best roast chicken plates around.

We recently visited Roosters in Charlotte and overall had a good experience. Our entrées — the grilled salmon and burger — were excellent, both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the sides didn’t match that same quality. The fries were extremely greasy both times they were brought out, and the rosemary potatoes were equally oily, which took away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. Thankfully, the coconut cake saved the day — light, flavorful, and the perfect sweet finish to the afternoon. With a little more attention to the sides, Roosters could easily deliver a consistently great dining experience.

We had a delicious Sunday lunch here. The frites (fries), onion rings, Mac & cheese and succotash were amazing as was the coconut cake and chocolate torte!!!! The cheeseburger was tasty but hard to eat as it was so big. The chicken salad sandwich also v good. Hubs said the steak frites was slightly overcooked. Great ambiance & our waiter Ryan was awesome! Highly recommend!!

Food was excellent and the entire staff was exceptionally friendly. The decor was unique and cool and the place had a nice vibe. It has a classy more upscale feel while still remaining casual. Felix was a great server and I highly recommend the tomato soup. Worth the visit.
